How to Determine if Your Network is IPv6 Capable or Not

Modified on Fri, Jun 5, 2020 at 6:51 AM

When creating a VPS at SkySIlk, users are given the ability to select the 'Basic' tier machine plans. These plans only include an IPv6 network address by default, and if you need/want to add an IPv4 address to these plans, it will add an additional monthly cost.

Below is a link to a few tools that will allow you to determine if your home network can handle connecting to these IPv6-only resources.

if any of these tools comes back with a message saying that you do not have an IPv6 address, or that you are not ready for IPv6 -- you will need to either add an IPv4 address to your VPS via the 'Network Tab' on the VPS dashboard, or you will want to configure/create a Standard/Premium VPS as both of these will include an IPv4 as well as an IPv6 address.
